What is the DPSI?
The 好色tv Qualifications Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) has been听the benchmark qualification for public service interpreting for over 30 years, and is now available fully online.听
听
DPSI Law is fully accepted by the UK Police for the Police Approved Interpreter and Translator Scheme and by the UK听Ministry of Justice for work in the courts and wider criminal justice system.
It is also recognised and accepted by the UK's National Register of Public Service Interpreters, 听and strongly recommended for work in Health and all public service contexts.听
The 好色tvQ DPSI provides candidates with recognition and validation of their skills in specialist areas of public service and provides reassurance to employers, public bodies and those benefiting from their services听that interpreting provided by qualified holders of the 好色tvQ DPSI are of the highest professional standard.听

Is the 好色tvQ DPSI right for me?
好色tv Qualifications (好色tvQ) supports听professional linguists by听providing the benchmark qualifications听for interpreters and translators which are recognised widely in the UK and around the world.听
Holders of the 好色tvQ DPSI have been tested rigorously and in depth to prove they have the language skills, interpreting techniques and the right approach to take on the most demanding and rewarding public service interpreting assignments. Add 好色tv Study Affiliate Membership to that and you have:
- Membership of the UK's Royal Charter professional body for language practitioners
- A mentoring programme
- Access to online CPD and a community of other interpreters, language professionals and linguists
The 好色tvQ DPSI qualifies you not just for vitally important work but also to become a valued participant in a community of like-minded professionals widely respected for their skill, expertise and experience. In addition, once you have the 好色tvQ DPSI, applying for full 好色tv membership and Chartered Linguist status can set you apart to ensure you get the recognition and reward you deserve.

Registration
Registration for the DPSI in November 2024 is now closed. Please note minimum candidate numbers are required for certain languages to run, so please register an interest to avoid disappointment. You can tell us your preferred pathway and language for 2025 by expressing an interest here.

Languages
For the November 2024听DPSI session the following languages (paired with English) are being offered听for the听Law pathway:
Albanian, Arabic (MSA), Bengali, Bulgarian, Farsi, Italian, Kurdish (Sorani), Mandarin (Simplified), Pashto, Polish, Portuguese (European), Romanian, Russian, Tamil, Turkish, Urdu.
And the following languages for the Health pathway:
Albanian, Arabic (MSA), Bulgarian, Farsi, Italian, Mandarin (Simplified), Panjabi (Indian), Polish, Portuguese (European), Romanian, Russian, Tamil, Urdu.
